How to Delete a Pin from Pinterest [Step by Step Tutorial]

Pinterest Marketing

How to Delete a Pin from Pinterest

Deleting a pin on Pinterest takes about ten seconds once you know where the button hides. Here is exactly how I remove a single pin, plus how to bulk-delete a whole batch when it is time to clean up a board.

Before you delete

Why and when to remove a pin

🗑

Old or broken links

Pins that point to dead pages or expired offers hurt more than they help.

🎭

Off-brand content

Clear out pins that no longer match the niche or look you want to be known for.

📉

Underperformers

A pin with no saves or clicks after months is fine to retire and replace.

⚠️

Duplicates and mistakes

Remove accidental repins, wrong images, or typo-filled pins that clutter a board.

The steps

How to delete a pin

The exact steps I use to delete one pin, and to bulk-delete several at once.

01

Log in and find the pin

Sign in to Pinterest and open the profile and board with the pin you want gone.

02

Open the pin

Click the pin so it opens full size on its own page.

03

Open the menu and edit

Click the three-dot menu, then choose Edit Pin.

04

Delete and confirm

Scroll to the bottom, click Delete, and confirm to remove it permanently.

05

For bulk delete, use Organize

Open the board and click the Organize button at the top.

06

Select many, then delete

Check every pin you want gone and hit Delete to clear them all at once.
