How To Leave a Voicemail Without Calling

📞 Most People Respond to Voicemail

Most people ignore phone calls

Try Dropcowboy Now

If you’re like me, your phone is constantly ringing with annoying calls from telemarketers, bill collectors, and other people trying to get your attention. It can be difficult to tell which number is calling, especially if they all use the same area code. If you don’t answer, you’ll have no idea what happened when you finally pick up.

Luckily, there’s an easy way to leave a voicemail message instead of answering the call. This works best if you’ve got caller ID on your cell or landline, but even if you don’t, you can still record a message without having to talk to anyone. Here’s how to do it.

Go Straight To Voicemail

Regardless of your feelings on voicemail, there are still times when leaving a message for someone is preferable to talking to them. (Think: checking in the late afternoon with the boss, dealing with cantankerous clients, etc.)

Voicemails are an integral part of modern communication, but they also add a lot of time and hassle for both you and your recipient. Remember to leave them; they take up space on someone’s phone and often require follow-up calls from the other party.

To eliminate all that hassle and send messages without calling, you need to use a service like SlyBroadcast.

Drop Cowboy

DropCowboy is an app that lets you send voice messages from your iPhone or iPad without having to call the person first. It’s simple and easy to use. Just open the app, choose what kind of message you want to send and then record it using your device’s microphone. You can also add a photo if you’d like. The next time someone calls you, they’ll get your recorded message instead of hearing your actual voice.

You’ve got a voicemail but can’t find your phone because you left it somewhere.

After: Now, you can leave a voicemail without ever picking up the phone. Drop Cowboy’s Ringless Voice Mail™ allows brands to record messages directly to their cell phone. No need to pick up the phone, press buttons, or even look at your phone. Just listen to the message and delete it later if needed.

Bridge: Drop Cowboy’s Ringless VOICEMAIL™ is the first brand to offer this innovative service. Brands can now reach customers directly through their cell phones without ever having to pick up the phone.

SlyBroadcast

With a free account, you can create custom greetings and leave messages for specific contacts. For example, you could say, “Hey John! I’m sending this as a reminder to meet at 5 pm today.” Then, whenever you receive a text or email from John, you’ll automatically hear a message saying exactly that. It’s pretty slick.

You can also choose to play your message over the phone, allowing others to listen to it before deciding whether or not to return your call. And because the service uses Google Voice, you won’t have to worry about losing incoming calls while recording your outgoing ones.

To sign up for a free account, head over to SlyBroadcast.com.

Slydial

First, download SlyDial, a free app that lets you make voice-to-text recordings in seconds. Once installed, open the app and tap “record” at the top right corner. You may need to sign into your Google account first, depending on whether you already have an existing recording history. Then, speak as clearly as possible so that the software will transcribe your words accurately. When done, tap “done.”

The app will now save your recording as a.wav file, which you can upload to Dropbox or email to yourself. It also allows you to send the recording directly to your voicemail service, which we’ll cover next.

WhatCall

how to leave a voicemail without calling

WhatCall is another way to send voicemails without actually calling people. With WhatCall, you can send a prerecorded message straight to your recipients’ inboxes. Unlike DropCowboy, you don’t need to be connected to any Wi-Fi network when making the call.

When you start a new conversation with a contact, you’ll see a button labeled “Voicemail.” Tap it to begin recording your message.

When you’re finished, hit the red button to end the call. Your recipient will receive the voicemail immediately.

On AT&T

You can send a voicemail without calling on a phone using your AT&T service.

1. Press and hold the 1 key, and then 2,

2. Dial the number.

3 Deliver the Message

On Verizon

You can deliver a voicemail without calling by dialing *67.

1. Press and Hold 67.

2. Enter the number you wish to call.

3. Press Send.

4. Wait until the message has been delivered.

5. Delete the message.

6. Repeat steps 3–5 for each number you wish to call!

7. If you cannot access your voicemail, please check your voicemail settings.

Straight Talk

If you are on Straight Talk, you can send a voicemail to anyone who calls you without having to call them first. Simply press and hold the key while you’re talking to them. A voicemail box will appear on their screen. They can either click to accept the voicemail or reject it.

JustDeliverIt Ringless Voicemail

Reliable and easy to use, the Just Deliver It Ringless Voicemail System delivers great customer service at an affordable price. You could use an existing recording for your automated voice messaging system or create one yourself using any number of tools available online.

High Open Rate

Ringless voicemail offers one of the highest open rates in the industry and is a fast, affordable way to reach customers.

The most common reason for not answering calls is that you’re on vacation or otherwise unavailable.

But if you want to be available when your customers call, they need to know how to get hold of you. And one of the best ways to do this is through voicemail.

You can use ringless voicemail as an effective alternative to traditional voicemail systems. Ringless voicemail gives your customers access to their messages without having to leave a message themselves.
