How I actually talk to Claude to get this

I spent the last four or five days having Claude go in and rewrite all of my blogs to get the most traffic and make it money-focused. These are great uses of Claude — if we’re not using AI for systems, we’re really behind, in my opinion. Then I said, put a call to action for coaching. I didn’t tell it to make it purple, I didn’t tell it what to create, I didn’t tell it what I wanted it to do visually.

What I said was, I don’t want a wall of ugly, black-and-white, 2010 blog text anymore. I want it to be visually pleasing, I want it to look good on mobile, and I want it to capture people’s attention. That’s what I said, and it created this. I was just in awe.

So this is my new design — see how it has a video on it? I trained Claude and said, Claude, every new blog I write, I want a video on it. I want you to go to my YouTube channel and find the most appropriate video that goes with this page. I could say, if I don’t have a video, build me a to-do list of videos I need to make, or tell it to pull something similar.

Instead of the wall-of-text blog, I wanted visuals. I wanted it to feel almost more like a landing page than a traditional blog, and it looks so good on mobile.

I said, on every one, I want you to quote me something from the article. I don’t know why — I was just being creative. There’s no rhyme or reason to all of this, and that’s the beauty of creation. We get to make art, we get to say, this is what I think I want, this is what I want to try.

So here are the tools I use for this, and it put those in there. I didn’t have to go pick an icon — I did none of this. I just told Claude what I wanted.

Then I said, put my ebooks on here, let’s sell more ebooks on here. So it went to my platform, got all my ebook links, and put these little calls to action on here. Then I said, make a pin — I want to be able to pin this on Pinterest, make a pin.

This is four days’ worth of work I’ve been doing on my website, and every time I do it now, I’ll come up with another little thing, like, oh, I like this, and it’ll say, do you want me to go back and update the other 84 blog posts?

Think of Claude — picture what Claude looks like. He’s redheaded and freckled in my head, for some reason. I have no idea why — I’m picturing Howdy Doody or something. I don’t know why Claude looks like that in my head, but that’s my assistant, and I’m paying Claude to do X, Y, and Z.

I have to get you guys to learn how to talk to Claude. Let me give you an example — let’s go to Claude. This is how it starts. I’m going to go to a new window. My prompts will change in five minutes — this is why I’ve got to get you to learn how to talk to it.

You say something like this — talk to it like you have an assistant sitting here. I want to build a new website, I have no idea, and typos don’t matter. Watch this — you can even talk to it, click the microphone.

I want it to be for people who are getting divorced. Let’s focus on women who are getting divorced. I want an entire website that teaches them how to build a new life, how to find themselves, self-discovery, finance, investing in themselves. They need to learn how to manage money, they need to learn how to live on their own, they need to learn how to change an air filter — I’m making this up, guys. The entire website has to be for this woman. I want you to give me an example blog post, fully designed, so I can see what we might build.

Do you see how I just was shooting from the hip there? There’s no prompt, I’m not building a template — that’s the tough part I need you to get your head around. You have to learn how it works so you can just talk to it.

So it says, this is a great concept, and then it asks you questions. What visual vibe fits it — do you want it warm and empowering, or bold and modern? I’ll go with warm and empowering. Which topic should be the example blog post — self-discovery, money and finance, or practical life skills? Let’s go with practical life skills. So it will lead you to your next step once you brain dump your starting point.

I don’t care what you run into — today, tomorrow, or the next day — throw it at Claude. I’m trying to build a recipe and I have no beans in my refrigerator, what do I do? It will give you a replacement for the beans. You have to learn how it functions, how it assists you, so you’re not stuck writing perfect prompts. That was 2023 AI. 2026 AI is just having a conversation.

Sometimes I give you guys prompts to make a Pinterest pin in a very precise, exact format — that could still be a prompt, and Claude will say, well, what have you done so far? I’ve got a YouTube channel, I’ve sold a couple ebooks, and it might hit hard on that — what did you like about that, what didn’t you like, is that something.

It’ll create a 365-day plan for you out of this. It’ll design what your YouTube thumbnails will look like, it could design your scripts for you — but you have to come in here first and brain dump. I can teach you to think, and you’ll use the tools a lot better than me just giving you a cold prompt that gets you one output.

What we want to do is give Claude permission to go build our site for us. So what you do is use a connector that gives it permission to go into WordPress, for example, and work as its own user — it’s an author, it has permission to go in there and work on your website for you. That’s what we do. Depending on the platform you use, you may need a plugin that adds that functionality. I’m using Jetpack.
