Writer Access Review

If you are looking for high-quality writers, then you should know that there are freelance writing options available such as Writer Access and Hire Writer. My Writer Access Review is positive so far.

Writer Access Review

Instead of having to bring writers into your office, you have options to hire them through the internet. This gives you access to an immense pool of writers who can work remotely and deliver quality content that meets your needs.

Of course, this also means that you might have a hard time picking a few writers (or a single writer) to work with on a regular basis. How can you sift through the various writers to find the ones that meet your needs?

One option I have been using is writer access.

For those who might not have heard of this platform, writer access is one of the most prolific freelance writing options out there, both in terms of the number of writers and words published for countless clients.

Mastering the tone of voice: How AI Can Help Writers Find Their Voice

AI Writing 101: How to Use Technology to Find Your Unique Voice and Style

For individuals, companies, and agencies who are looking to hire writers through writer access, there are a few options to keep in mind when it comes to hiring writers through writer access.

How Does Writer Access Work?

Writer access essentially acts as a talent broker between clients who are looking for published content and writers who are looking to deliver that content.

It is the job of writer access to make sure that writers get compensated fairly for their work and that their clients get exactly what they are looking for.

To make this happen, writer access screens their writers carefully.

They put their writers through an arduous application process that involves submitting written samples in addition to passing grammar tests.

This ensures that writers are fluent in English, have experience writing high-quality content, and can deliver work for their clients on-time.

According to writer access, only five percent of the writers who apply actually make it through their online testing and portfolio review process.

This ensures that clients have access to the cream of the crop when it comes to freelance writing.

So, how do clients find the right writers on writer access?

The Crowd Order Option On writer access

The most straightforward option on writer access is to post orders to the crowd.

This is the easiest way to hire a writer.

This means that clients create orders and post them to the general job board. Then, the first person to click on the order claims it.

That writer has to meet the deadline posted by the client or the writer gets penalized. This ensures that clients get their content delivered on time.

While the crowd order option is the most general, there are still ways for clients to control who has access to the order. This has to do with the “star” rating of the order.

Clients are able to post their orders for anywhere from a two-star rate to a six-star rate. These rates are priced per word.

While a two-star order is posted for two cents per word, a six-star rate is posted for ten cents per word.

In general, the harder the content is to deliver (or the higher the client’s expectations), the higher the star rating.

In addition to per word ratings, clients can also pay a flat fee instead (which makes it easier to budget) or they can access the “professional” writer talent pool and post a higher, customized rate.

This star rating matters because it controls which writers can see orders posted to the crowd content pool. The better a writer is, the higher the star rating.

For example, a three-star writer will only be able to see three-star and two-star orders; however, a six-star writer can see all orders posted to the crowd.

Therefore, if a client wants to post crowd orders but only wants experienced writers to see them, they can choose to pay a higher star rating.

This allows clients to pick their writers somewhat without totally limiting access.

So, what are the pros and cons of crowd orders? Why would clients choose this method?

Some of the benefits include:

Pros:

  • The crowd order rate is usually a little bit cheaper than choosing other options
  • In general, work gets turned around quicker because there are more writers claiming the orders
  • Clients who are new to the platform might not know who they want to work with, so the crowd order feature is a good place to start
  • There is still some control over who can claim orders thanks to the star-rating feature

On the other hand, there are some drawbacks as well. These include:

Cons:

  • The crowd order section is very general and clients may not get matched with writers who can deliver exactly what they’re looking for
  • There is still a chance that one writer might claim all the crowd orders if they can claim them quickly
  • If clients are looking for content that is similar in tone, this might be challenging to achieve if dozens of writers are claiming their orders

If clients want a lot of work turned around quickly, this might be challenging for a single writer. Therefore, the crowd approach might be better.

The Love List Option on Writer Access

Another option for hiring writers on writer access is to use the “love list” order feature.

With the love list feature, clients can select a few writers who work they really like. Then, they can add these writers to a “love list” so that when they post their orders, only those select writers see them.

On Writer Access, clients are able to add and remove writers to their love list at will. This means that they can grow or shrink their list of writers as their needs change.

There are two main ways that clients will add writers to their love list.

The first method is to build a love list based on writers who have delivered crowd orders in the past. For example, a client might post a bunch of orders to the crowd.

Then, they will review the results, pick the writers they like the best, and create a list that includes those writers.

The other method of building a love list is to search for writers by industry. Through writer access, there is an option to look through writers with industry experience.

For example, if you are looking to build content for a medical practice, you might want to have the help of a doctor.

You can find writers on writer access who have an MD and build a love list based on those results. This is a great way to hire writers.

Some of the benefits of the love list feature include:

Pros:

  • Clients are able to pick a few writers they like specifically to write their content
  • Clients are not limited to a single writer but can build a love list with dozens of writers if they prefer
  • Clients often have experience with writers on their love list and know what to expect

There are a few drawbacks to the love list as well. These include:

Cons:

  • Sometimes, a single writer will still end up writing all the love list orders
  • Not every writer that shows up in search results is active
  • Love list orders might be a little bit more expensive than crowd orders at a given star rate

The love list option is great for clients who have a few writers they really enjoy working with. Or, the love list can be built based on results from industry searches through the writer access platform.

The Casting Call Option on Writer Access

In addition to posting orders to a general forum, there is also the option to post a “casting call” on writer access. If you don’t need results immediately, you can post a casting call and give writers a week to apply.

You can give a description of your needs through the casting call, the star rating you are looking for, and ask writers to apply with an explanation of why they think they’re a good fit.

Depending on the casting call information, some jobs might get only a few applications. This might be the case if you are looking for a writer with specific credentials.

Or, you might end up with dozens of applications if this is a general application for blog posts or articles. You can even ask the writer access admin to help you with a casting call!

They will “recommend” or “endorse” writers to your casting call.

Some of the benefits of using the writer access casting call option include:

Pros:

  • You get to review specific writers who are pitching themselves to you
  • You have total control over who claims your orders
  • writer access might endorse a few writers as great fits for your needs

Some of the drawbacks include:

Cons:

  • Not every writer on writer access checks the casting call section
  • It takes longer for you to get your content this way
  • You may end up with dozens of applications, which can take a while to sift through

The Managed Services Section of Writer Access

Finally, if you are looking for a very specific writer, you can ask writer access administration to help you find the right option.

writer access has powerful AI tools that can help you find the perfect style, tone, and experience that you need.

The writer access administration is very responsive and will essentially place a “white glove” on your project to help you go through the hundreds of writers they have to find the perfect one.

At the same time, this service might be more expensive.

Therefore, you need to think about whether or not you really need this service. For example, if you are looking for blog posts about a general topic, then you probably don’t need the managed services section.

You can post them to the crowd or build a love list. Then, you can decide who you want to work with.

On the other hand, if you need a research paper that you are hoping to publish in Nature or Science, then your needs are very specific.

writer access managed services can help you find what you need.

Choose Writer Access for Freelance Writing

If you need high-quality writers, then writer access is the place to go. They have a pool of incredibly talented writers in all areas who can deliver high-quality content for you in a short amount of time.
