Like most bloggers, you probably use images in your blog posts to break up the text and add visual interest. But what about using videos? Videos can be a great way to add more richness and depth to your blog posts, and they can also help you attract new readers and keep them engaged. In this post, we’ll look at five ways to use videos in your blog content.
1) Add a How-To Video
Adding a how-to video to your blog post can help you attract new readers and keep them engaged. Videos are a great way to show your readers how to do something, and they can be especially helpful for explaining complex topics.
How-to videos can also be a great way to build rapport with your readers and establish yourself as an expert in your field.
One example is this video I created that explains how to set up an automated workflow in Mailerlite that will send regular updates to subscribers showcasing the latest blogs.

2) Include a Video Review
Adding a review video to a blog post is a great way to give your readers a more in-depth look at the products or services you’re discussing. Not only will it help to engage your readers, but it can also help to convert them into customers.
Readers enjoy video reviews because they can see the product in action and get a better sense of what it’s like to use it. This is especially true for products that are difficult to understand from written descriptions alone.
To make your video review even more effective, include a call to action at the end, such as a link to where readers can buy the product.
For example, I published a video comparing two software products I tested: Ubersuggest vs. Semrush. I review each, then compare how they are different and which one I think is better.

3) Include an Expert Interview
An expert interview video is a great way to add depth and richness to your blog content. It can also help you attract new readers and keep them engaged.
Including an expert interview video in your blog post allows your readers to hear from an expert on the topic you’re writing about. This can help them learn more about the topic and gain insights they wouldn’t otherwise have access to.
In one video, for instance, I interviewed John Thomas Sinclair, a real estate investor who owns more than 70 properties.

4) Include a Video Demo
A video demo is a short clip demonstrating how to use a product or complete a task. Including a video demo in your blog post can be extremely beneficial, as it can help your readers learn how to use your product or complete the task you’re describing. In addition, videos can be more engaging than text-based content, so they can help keep your readers engaged and coming back for more.

5) Introduce an Offer with a Video
If you want to increase conversions on your blog, then introducing an offer with a video is a great way to do it. A video can help explain your offer in more detail and convince your readers to take advantage of it. In addition, videos can be more engaging than text-based content, so they can help keep your readers engaged and coming back for more.
In this video, I make an offer for writers to “steal my content strategy.” I give them a step-by-step process to create long-form content that can rank on Google.
In closing, remember that a video is a powerful tool that can help you attract new readers and keep them engaged. Integrating video into your blog posts gives your readers a more immersive experience and helps them learn more about the topics you’re discussing.
