How to Make a Post Shareable on Facebook

When you publish a post on Facebook, you might want to set it in a way that others can share it. The key to making a post shareable on Facebook is to post in Public status. You can, however, change this after you create the post. Here’s How.

If you hover over the post that you want to make shareable, you’ll see the privacy settings that dictate who is going to see your post. The image below shows an example where I have set the privacy to show only to my friends, Jeff’s friends, and Terri’s friends.

If Jeff and Terri share the post, their friends will see it. Buf if one of their friends shared it, it wouldn’t be visible to the public in general.

If you want a post to go viral, it would need to be public.

How to make a post shareable on Facebook

There’s no doubt that Facebook is one of the most important channels for promoting your content. But what if you want to make sure your post gets as much visibility as possible? By making your post shareable, you can encourage readers to spread the word on their own timelines. Here are a few tips on how to do just that.

How to Find Old Posts on Facebook

1. What is a shareable post on Facebook and why do you want one

A shareable post on Facebook is one that can be easily shared by other users on the site. This can be done by clicking the “Share” button on the post, which will allow the user to add their own comment before sharing it with their friends. There are a number of reasons why you would want a shareable post on Facebook.

For example, if you have something newsworthy or important to share, a shareable post can help to spread the word quickly. Additionally, if you have a product or service that you want to promote, a shareable post can be a great way to reach a larger audience. Ultimately, shareable posts on Facebook can be a great way to reach out to new people and promote your brand or message.

2. The anatomy of a shareable post

What makes a post shareable? This is a question that has puzzled content creators for years. After all, there’s no surefire formula for going viral. However, there are certain elements that can make a post more likely to be shared. For example, posts that evoke strong emotions tend to be more shareable than those that are neutral in tone.

Posts that are positive and uplifting are also more likely to be shared than those that are negative or depressing. Images and videos are also generally more shareable than plain text, as they’re more visually stimulating. Ultimately, there’s no guaranteed way to create a shareable post.

However, understanding what tends to make posts more shareable can give you a better chance of creating content that resonates with your audience.

3. How to make your post shareable: step by step

Now that we’ve covered what a shareable post is and why you might want one, let’s take a look at how to make your post shareable on Facebook.

1. Start by creating a post in Public status

When you create a new post on Facebook, the default privacy setting is “Friends.” However, if you want your post to be shareable, you’ll need to change the privacy setting to “Public.” To do this, click on the icon that says “Friends” in the bottom left-hand corner of the post composer.

A drop-down menu will appear with a number of different privacy options. Select “Public” from this menu. Now, anyone on Facebook will be able to see and share your post.

2. Make sure your post is interesting and engaging

If you want people to share your post, it needs to be interesting and engaging. As we mentioned before, posts that evoke strong emotions tend to be more shareable than those that are neutral in tone.

Additionally, posts that are positive and uplifting are more likely to be shared than those that are negative or depressing. Images and videos are also generally more shareable than plain text, as they’re more visually stimulating.

3. Use compelling visuals

As we mentioned above, posts with compelling visuals tend to perform better than those without. If you’re including an image or video in your post, make sure it’s high quality and visually appealing.

4. Use an attention-grabbing headline

Your headline should be clear, concise, and to the point. It should also be interesting enough to make people want to read more. Avoid using clickbait headlines, as they can make people less likely to share your post.

5. Keep it short and sweet

People are more likely to share a post if it’s short and sweet. Avoid rambling on for paragraphs, as this will likely lose people’s attention. Get to the point and be concise.

6. Ask people to share your post

If you want people to share your post, ask them to! Include a call-to-action in your post that asks people to share it with their friends.

In closing, making a post shareable on Facebook can be a great way to reach a larger audience. Keep the above tips in mind to increase your chances of creating a post that resonates with your audience and gets shared.
