For a long time I was hand-copying and pasting Amazon links into every blog post, one at a time, checking every few weeks to make sure the price hadn’t changed. It worked, but it did not scale.
What changed things is a plugin that actually syncs with Amazon. I search for a product once, it pulls in the picture and the details through Amazon’s own API instead of copying a screenshot, and it keeps the price current for me. When a reader clicks through from one of my Pinterest-fed blog posts, that link still works the way it’s supposed to.
