In this video, Lori Ballen, Las Vegas Real Estate Business owner and Digital Marketing Strategiest shows you how to change the Facebook Share Image using the Listing Marketing Tool, [eafl id=”12368″ name=”Listings to Leads” text=”Listings To Leads”].
In this lesson we’re gonna look at the [eafl id=”12368″ name=”Listings to Leads” text=”Listings To Leads tool”] for marketing your real estate listing. And what I want to show you today is how to find the Facebook share image and how to customize it, download it, and have something specific that you have for your Facebook share.
So I’m in my Listings To Leads account.
What I’m gonna do is I’m gonna scroll down here to one of my listings and I’m gonna click edit, enhance listing. We’re gonna scroll down here on the left-hand side to this green box, edit images.
And you’re gonna want to make sure that you have whatever images you want to use. But the reason I’m pointing this out is because you would think that whatever you have here by default is what’s going to show up on your main image. But depending on how you move things around you could have these images in a certain order and then also have a different Facebook share image if you like.
So down here underneath edit images we’re gonna click customer Facebook share image.
Now what you’ll see is in this case we do have that first picture from our edit images is showing up in this box. But what we could do is we could click on select new image, and we could choose any one of these images now that we had uploaded in that edit images tab here. Okay?
So now there’s this great box up here. And this box allows you to put some sort of call to action or information on this tab. So if I wanted to I could change this. By default it’ll probably have certain settings on it. In fact I think I just changed mine. Let me go back to a different one, hold on one second. Let’s do this so I can show you what the default looks like, because I already changed mine.
So let’s look at this one. Go to edit. We’re gonna go down to custom Facebook share image. There we go. So this is going to be your default, okay? And if you want to leave it like that that’s perfectly fine, but if you want to change it you can actually change it and put something like five bedroom home with a pool. Or something like that, okay?
And you can leave this, your default settings here with your text information too. Or you could put the URL to this address, ViaRomantico.com. Whatever you want your call to action to be here.
Now here you can actually change the background image color, which is great. Obviously I would not use that picture. That is not the best picture of the house there. This is an old listing. You can change this to be one line or two lines. You can change the text color, okay, which obviously you’re going to want to be very careful about depending on what your background is.
You’re going to use probably white on your darker colors, and you could use black on your lighter colors. And then here you’ve got a few different text font options. I like that one. And then here you can choose your size. Light, so that’s a medium, bold. Actually it’s not really size, it’s enhancing the text specifically. Okay. And then here you can change what position you want your banner to be on. So here you can have it at the top, here you can have it in the middle, and here you can have it at the bottom.
Now what’s cool about this, what I wanted to show you is that you can actually download this picture now to use on your Facebook ad or to use on your website or other type of advertising if you like. And you just click here and download it. And then you’re able to save it.
Now also they’ve got a note up here that says Facebook will auto- Oh, I don’t really want to save that. Facebook will auto clear cache for this image, and it has a three minute countdown. So if you’ve changed the image so that you can share it on Facebook, wait three minutes. I just tested mine, it didn’t take three minutes. But go ahead and wait the three minutes before you include that link again to share on Facebook so that the new image will show up. So that’s all there is to changing the main image that shows up on your social shares and how to download it to be able to use it for anywhere else that you actually want to use that item.
I have learned so much from her and still have tons of things to implement. I have already made money using her systems and techniques.
Thank you Lori and keep thinking out side of the box for us!
