IP Address | Internet Protocol

An Internet Protocol address (also known as an IP addressIP or IPA) is a number assigned to each device (e.g., computer, printer) logging in online over a particular network using an Internet Protocol for communication.

It is used to identify and locate. When using your website, you can measure where your visitors are coming from by their IP addresses.

It looks like this: 172.15.3294 as a 32 bit binary number.
