Step by Step guide on how to bulk-create Pinterest pins using ChatGPT and Canva
You’ll need a Canva Pro account to use bulk create and folders. If you want to access a sidebar that opens and walks you through all the steps, or the PDF with screenshots, you’ll find that in my ChatGPT for Bloggers course!
- Navigate to Canva
- Do a search for Instagram Stories or choose Instagram Story from the menu.
- Use the search filter to search templates by keyword (such as quotes). You can also access additional search filters by clicking on the 3 lines to the right.
- Scroll through the templates and click to choose one.
- Edit any items on the pin that you don’t want to replace when you connect data after populating items in ChatGPT.
- In a new tab, navigate to chat.openai.com.
- Use this prompt: “Pretend you are a real estate agent. Give me a list of 52 excellent tips for homeowners that want to sell their house. Put ‘To sell your house faster’ before the tip.”
- In Canva, click on “Bulk Create” (if you don’t see it, you can find it under apps). Note that you will need a Canva Pro account.
- Click on “Enter data manually.”
- Paste your item in the first row. You can ignore the second row. If you have more than one item to replace, you can use the extra columns or add image options.
- Click on any row and choose photos from your folders to replace the background image.
- Click “Done.”
- Paste your longest sentence from your tips in the section where your tip will go. Adjust the text size to ensure it fits before you connect the data.
- Adjust the text size, color, font, and styling as desired.
- Right-click on the text box and find the “Connect data” option.
- Choose the first column and click “Name.”
- The merge field will appear.
- Follow this step with each column you want to connect data with.
- Adjust the text line spacing and letter spacing as desired.
- Click “Continue.”
- Click “Generate (52) pages.”
- Make minor edits where needed if you notice any overlap.
- Click on “Elements” and search by keyword for images you want to add.
- Choose backgrounds and search for solid backgrounds if desired.
- Click on “See all” when your photos appear.
- Click the icon to open filter options and select “Vertical.”
- Click “Static.”
- Click “Add this photo to the canvas.”
- Find a photo you like and drag it to the pin to replace the background photo.
- If you used frames and connected the photo to the frame, you can skip this step or replace photos you don’t like.
- Double-click on the photo to slide the image up, down, left, and right to position it as you like on the pin.
- Once you complete all 52 pins, click “Share.”
- Click “Download.”
- Save all the pins to a folder. They will be saved as a zip file. Double-click the zip file to open all the images in a separate folder.
- Open Pinterest.
- Click “Create.”
- Click here to create and save a prompt using Sider, the ChatGPT-powered sidebar. You can use this link to download the extension.
- Save and edit any frequently used prompt. In this case, create one for the Pinterest title and description.
- Type “Pinterest Pin” as the prompt name and create a clickbait title without quotes and a Pinterest description.
- Click “Save” to save the prompt.
- To open the saved prompt, click on the small text square.
- Select the saved prompt.
- Take the first pin description from the ChatGPT list and paste it after the quotes in the prompt. Hit enter.
- In the Pinterest account, after clicking “Create,” upload or drag and drop the first pin picture from your files. Add the new title created from the prompt response.
- Paste in the description from the prompt response.
- Press CMD + V to paste the URL to the specific page in the destination link field.
- Edit the description and other details as needed.
- Choose the appropriate board.
- In a new tab, open your website and find the link you want this pin to link to. If you use the same link for every pin, make sure you spread them out a week apart.
- Click “How to Sell A House In Las Vegas.”
- Paste the URL to the specific page in the destination link field.
- Click “Publish at a later date.”
- Choose the date and time.
