Longform Content Earns More Links
It’s not really so much about the word count as much as it is about diving deep into a topic. It makes sens that more websites would refer to a page that covers a topic in depth than someone that simply creates an “overview”.
Brian Dean suggests that you find a link round up by typing in your keyword phrase [such as real estate] and then “Link Roundup” delivering a a variety of results where you can “pitch” your content.
Essentially, you are saying “Hey Roundup creator. My content is valuable to your content”.
Here’s Brian’s script for your pitch.

Broken Link Building
This strategy involves locating broken links on someone’s website and offering to replace it with yours.
The idea is that you are offering value.
Add the Chrome Extension “Check My Links” and find broken links on any page.

Earn Links from Your Bio
Most often, when someone interviews you or
Your bio would include a pic, short description, contact information, and a link. This link would be a backlink.
You are an expert in your field right? Then you deserve to be interviewed!
Here at Ballen Brands, we use KEAP [formally infusionsoft] as a Customer Relationship Manager, it allows us to add a tag to a contact record which launches an email campaign and sends the email such as this pitch adding the personal touches through mail merge. It sounds technical but it’s really not. Set up the template once, and off you go!
Naming Your Strategy
When I showed my marketing strategies to a mentor, he said “Oh, You have The Ballen Method”. And it stuck, and it sold!
If you have a strategy to anything, giving it a name helps the stickiness of the branding. More people will refer to a “method” or “strategy” than just “steps” or “tips.
