Setting Up a Facebook Page for Business
The first thing you’re going to want to do is create a business page. You’re going to create a Facebook business page. My suggestion is that you don’t brand it to you. You’re going to brand it to a niche or to a community.
I’ve been testing the Facebook ads, and the best ads so far that I’m seeing are the hyper-local, specific as small as possible local ads. For example, I have one running that says, “Find out what your Las Vegas home is worth.” I have another one that says, “Find out what your Summerlin home is worth.” That Summerlin home is connected to my Summerlin business page. I’m getting much more full data on those. We’ve gotten several listings and listing appointments off of this Summerlin one, but on our Las Vegas one, all we’ve gotten so far is listing appointments, and they’re really a little bit farther out, and we’re getting buried in them. I find that it’s a better way to focus locally.
Can you have numerous Facebook business pages? To my knowledge yes, and I do. I don’t know that there’s any limitation on those, you’re going to have to check the Facebook terms of service. I don’t work at Facebook, so I’m not sure of all of those things, but to my knowledge they’re unlimited, and we do suggest that you follow the terms of service. I know that having multiple personal accounts is against the terms of service, but for business pages I believe it’s fine. I personally set up a Facebook.com/SummerlinNevada business page, and it is set as a local business. Not as a community page, although I really work to push it as a community page. After the webinar, go online and visit that page, and you can see a lot of the things that I do with that. We were able to get thousands and thousands of followers in just a few months from working through value and really hyper-local focusing that on Summerlin.
